PG Farms was started in 1994 in Shelton, NE. We’re passionate about the environment and educating city dwellers about the modern family farm. We raise corn and soybeans in central and north central Nebraska. Our commercial corn is trucked into different ethanol facilities throughout the winter months to be made into ethanol. Some commercial corn is also trucked to nearby feed lots to feed cattle. Our soybeans are trucked into a nearby soybean processing facility to be converted into soybean oil and soybean meal. We also operate a seed corn harvesting crew that begins in late August each year and harvest goes through the first week of October covering ~3,500 acres. Seed corn is harvested on the ear and taken to a nearby processing facility to be shelled, bagged, and sold to farmers across the nation for next years commercial corn crop.
