Our cattle business includes a 1,200 head cow/calf herd as well as a 2,000 head backgrounding lot in North Central Nebraska. Each year the calves from our cow/calf operation are separated from their mothers and fed in our backgrounding lot until they are mature enough to be sold at market or to a feedlot. From the feed lot they are sent to different processors to be processed into numerous different cuts of meat and hamburger that consumers purchase from their local retail stores. We take pride in the animals that we raise and do our best to handle them from start to finish in the best way possible.
